Eminent Domain

Eminent Domain is used by cities and municipalities to capture private property for economic development. Might it not be possible to apply Eminent Domain to the property SJW is trying to log inside a valuable watershed? The actions of this irresponsible water company SJW to develop logging infrastructure and remove the fire retardant trees can and will have many negative economic impacts (already numerously described on the NAIL website). In a novel way, Eminent Domain could be used to take the property away from SJW in order to protect the economic integrity the water shed provides to the citizens of San Jose and to the citizens in the area.

Regards,
Nick

P.S.
If SJW wants to cut the scrub and trees less than 3 inches in diameter,  I am all for it as long as they send in crews to do it by hand in the least negatively impactful way on the forest. and keep the slash less than a foot off of the ground.
