Catherine, this is a great idea. People in Los Gatos need to understand how close the proposed logging area is to downtown Los Gatos, and how it could harm the Los Gatos Creek watershed that so many people cherish.

We were at the market on 9/18 and no one we talked to knew about the logging. This is an ideal opportunity.

To elaborate a bit more, I spoke to an acquaintance who canvassed at the Market a couple of weeks ago and had great response. He said we should be there about 8am and find the market coordinator (didn't recall her name). She will help find a place to set up a table within the market where we can set up. I have a card table to bring.

I would like to get some large images of the proposed logging site and write up some talking points and print up a handout. I will contact Rebecca Moore to see if she has a large print of the site that we could use (so as not to print it out again). If I can't find one, I will have one printed.

I hope to have time later this week to focus on a plan but I do intend on being at the Market at 8am SUnday. Anyone else who is interested, please contact me via this thread or via email.

Yes, I can help you. A picture can be worth a thousand words. My color printer can go up to 13"x19", which is a decent size for your table at the farmer's market. I'll coordinate with you via email.
